Redefining african culture through diaspora

About us:

Pamela Harken Kristensen is a resilient and compassionate individual born and raised in Ghana. Born in the year 1976 to the late Mr. And Mrs. Edwards in a remote village called Jasikan. Pamela lost her mother just after birth. she was raised by her maternal grandmother until the age of 6years before meeting her Father for the first time. she was then shuffled between relatives facing hardship and rejection. Despite facing adversity at a young age, including the loss of her mother, Pamela persevered and eventually migrated to the capital city to her fathers place in search of better opportunities. She worked various menial jobs to make ends meet before becoming a mother of 5 beautiful kids 3 girls and 2 boys, unfortunately for her one of her sons was later poisoned. Leaving her in a very devastated state.

Marrying her husband, a native of Denmark and relocating to Denmark with her husband was one of the toughest decisions because she had to leave the kids behind before they later joined her. Pamela's experiences of hardship and struggle inspired her to establish "Voltarians in Denmark," an organization dedicated to supporting the less privileged in her home country. Driven by her passion for helping those in need, Pamela continues to work tirelessly to make a positive impact in the lives of others, drawing from her own experiences to foster empathy and understanding towards humanity.

Her unwavering commitment to creating positive change is a beacon of hope, inspiring others to make a difference. A hard worker and entrepreneurial spirit, Pamela has established multiple successful businesses over the years, including many others.

Her legacy continues to inspire generations, a testament to the transformative power of courage, compassion, and determination. In our local dialect we call her "Mama Yakagbe" meaning a great warrior or fighter.Ladies and gentlemen lets all say "Ayekoo" which simplytranslates "welldone"with a clap as we welcome on stage our Mamaga (Queen).

  • Pray for an Orphan One of the first things that you may learn when you decide to help orphans is that there is many more orphans that you imagine (132 million according to UNICEF). One of the easiest things you can do at this moment is to pray for an orphan child or for the needs of all orphans. There are so many children waiting for adoption, and you could choose one kid and pray for her until she can find a family. If you search online, you can find waiting lists that give you information on specific children in your area for whom you can pray
  • Some orphanages are suffering from overcrowding and as a result do not offer the best environment for children. There is also an urgency to the need to give better training to volunteers and workers in orphanages so that they are ready to meet the emotional and physical needs of children placed in their care.
  • If you do any of the suggestions, I’ve shared with you, you will make positive impact in the life of a child. The public, your community, friends and family probably are not aware of the needs of vulnerable children in their local communities. Help and share information on this topic. You can speak up, write, and share with others! You can teach others in your church about the needs of orphans. Today you can DO something to help!
